Get out of here, weekend! It’s a new week, and here at Trevor George that means new acts; four of ‘em, all available to book for corporate events, private parties and weddings.
This week we’ve got not one, but two top stand-up comics, and also two world-beating dance troupes. Let’s get ourselves acquainted.
PAUL SINHA
Stand-up comic Paul Sinha gave up a successful career in medicine to pursue his comedy dream, which for a less talented comic could have ended up back in the doctor’s office telling patients with chest infections about how he ‘could have made it if he’d got the right breaks’. Thankfully, Paul’s career switch has paid off, and he is now the star of ITV’s ‘The Chase’ where he’s earned the nickname ‘The Smiling Assassin’.
GEOFF WHITING
Since he first set out in comedy by entering the Daily Telegraph’s Open Mic Awards in 1998, Geoff Whiting has seldom found himself short of work, or fans. With slick delivery and killer punchlines honed by years on the stand-up circuit, he’s a fantastic choice as a comic for corporate events, or even as an awards show host.
BASS BEATZ
Bass Beatz combine jumping, acro, thrilling choreography and LED light shows to create an act that defies categorisation… But if we had to categorise it, we’d probably make up a cool new term like ‘LED circuance’ or ‘glowing dancecus’. High-energy and visually striking, Bass Beatz is a great option for anyone looking for something unique at their next event.
PLAGUE
Plague are one of the most highly-regarded contemporary dance outfits around having twice won the ‘World Hip Hop Dance Championships’ and been the first ever UK-based crew to do so. Featuring some of the best streetdancers and choreographers in the business, Plague have travelled the globe performing at high profile events like Beijing Olympics, The Royal Variety Show and the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix.
