New Act Mondays: Sleight of Hand, One Man Band, Brass Covers On Demand

Though the days are getting shorter and the nights are drawing in, at Trevor George Entertainment we’re still braving the cold, the rain and the howling wind to go out scouring the UK for the best artistes to share on our website. It being Monday, today we’re sharing another three great new acts that you can book for weddings, corporate events or private parties, so without further ado, let’s meet them.

THE TRIXTA

Way back in September, we joked that mime artist ‘Tape Face’ sounds like the name of a ‘C-List Batman villain’, which is a shame because now we’ve used that joke, we can’t reuse to introduce ace close-up magician The Trixta… Not without a whole paragraph of clumsy attempts at self-referential meta humour. Surely that’s too much even for this blog?

BEANIE

Loop pedal singer-songwriter Beanie can be seen wearing his namesake in not one single piece of promotional material we’ve encountered so far. But with artfully tousled hair like that, why hide it under a hat? Let it ruffle freely in the wind, Beanie! Let it fall across your brow while you perform cover versions of everything from The White Stripes to Nirvana, Beanie! With nought but a guitar, vocals and a loop pedal!

TWISTED TUBES

Twisted Tubes pride themselves on an eclectic setlist that takes in ‘dance hall, hip hop and straight up funk’ which is a far cry from the usual military marches and occasional Christmas carols that comprise most brass ensembles’ stock in trade. Anyone looking for something genuinely different for their event music would do well to take a listen.

That’s all for this week, but be sure to follow us on Twitter for more great acts and entertainment ideas.
