New Act Mondays: Wrestlers, Roamers, CSI and George Michael

It’s March, folks! And boy is it cold. Though you may have been lucky enough to have a few snow days off, we’ve been trudging through blizzards looking for shivering performers to rescue. Upon doing so, we invite them into our warm and cozy entertainment warehouse where we slam the door so they can’t get out unless there’s a corporate event, wedding or private party that we can use them for. It sounds cruel, but it’s the only way we can be sure they’ll survive the winter.

This week we’ve got a real eclectic bunch; with wrestlers, a roaming acoustic band, a forensic investigation workshop and a tribute to the dearly departed frontman of Wham! Also that wasn’t me ending the sentence with an exclamation; the name ‘Wham!’ has a ‘!’ in it. I’m excited, but I’m not that excited.

4TH GEN WRESTLING

Whatever you heard about those first three gens of wrestling? Forget it. It’s over. Fourth Gen Wrestling is here and while we couldn’t tell you what that means with regards to wrestling lineage, what we can tell you is that it’s an electrifying show featuring a cast of larger-than-life characters and a full 16 ft ring. Get ready to cheer on the good guys, boo the bad guys and watch people pull a variety of gif worthy faces.

BROTHERS & SONS

Phew, back to the normal stuff. I don’t know if you could tell there, but entertaining as all that sounds, I don’t know anything about wrestling. By comparison, Brothers & Sons is entertainment blog bread and butter. A roaming acoustic band in tweedy suits performing a mix of pop favourites as they saunter about your event. And not a single person gets hit over the back of the head with a folding chair. Unless you really, really want them to.

CSI WORKSHOP

If you’ve ever found yourself at a corporate event or team building day wishing that instead, you were examining blood spatter patterns of analysing hair fibers, then you’re in luck; our CSI workshop gives you and your guests a chance to test your forensic investigation skills. And if you’re lucky, they might even let you try out a one-liner before putting on your sunglasses. That’s right, folks, decades-old memes all round today.

ROBERT TAYLOR AS GEORGE MICHAEL

Following on from last week’s Freddie Mercury Tribute, this week we’ve got another show that celebrates a dearly departed frontman, this time in the form of George Michael. With his background in musical theatre, Robert Taylor is able to capture the captivating stage presence of the former Wham! star in this fitting and authentic tribute to one of pop’s all-time greats.

That’s it for this week, but if you’re looking for more entertainment ideas; be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all the latest from Trevor George Entertainment.
