Hello, hello, hello and welcome to this New Act Mondays blog. We rather love a Stephen-Fry-on-QI intro and we hope you do too. There’s just something so joyous and welcoming about it isn’t there? Can it really be Monday again? We are afraid so but we hope you have a coffee or tea in hand and rest assured it’ll be Friday before too long! Before all that though, we have a multitude of new acts to introduce to you and we think they are all utterly fabulous. Without further ado then, let’s meet them!
Stilt Walkers
It seems rather crazy to us that we didn’t have a simple listing to book stilt walkers on the site. We did have a few luxury versions like The Birdcage but when it comes down to it, a traditional stilt walker is probably a more popular booking. Instantly recognisable and sure to raise a smile, we don’t think much more needs to be said about them – a classic entertainment act for your event.
Steamhorse
Undoubtedly the ‘oh my goodness, that looks incredible, can we book it now pleeeeeease?’ act of the week, Steamhorse is the premiere stunt horse team in the south west. Whether you’re looking to book jousting, a gladiator recreation or a battle of knights, they have it all. Steamhorse put on an incredible show and we highly recommend checking them out if you are wanting to book an outdoor show this summer.
Snow Globe
Is it a rule that all acts must begin with ‘s’ this week? We didn’t think so but here is another one! The Snow Globe is a combination of performance art and costume, and allows for a magical experience for all who see it. A Snow Queen sits inside the installation, which can meander around guests, whilst a red button will unleash a blizzard of snow insider her habitat to truly bring the wonder to life. A must have for your next Christmas party!
The New Heroes
A vibrant four-piece that perform at hundreds of events and weddings across the south coast each and every year, The New Heroes are a hugely likeable band that will work with you to ensure the perfect repertoire. From modern hits to pop classics – with an occasional ballad thrown in! – this is a group that will work to make your evening a night to remember.
Daniel Dean
When it comes to booking established stage magicians, it can often be difficult to tell who will run through the same tired old magic tricks and who will offer something different. Daniel Dean has been working for over twenty years and regularly updates his show to keep guests happy! A multiple award winner, Daniel’s charisma and unmatched deliver have also seen him take on the role of the Genie in numerous pantomimes across the country!
Func on the Rocks
An absolutely brilliant six-piece function band that can implement a brass section if required, Func on the Rocks can play a vast repertoire of tunes from a whole host of genres including rock, soul, pop, funk, Motown and more. If it’s a full dance floor that you’re after, Func on the Rocks are the band to book!
