Another week, another three great new acts for the Trevor George website. This week there’s background music from a brilliant new duo, a group who put the “funk” in “funk-tion band”, and a man on a mission to bring juggling to the masses.
VELVET COLLECTION (BACKGROUND DUO)
Background music is so often the realm of classical or jazz ensembles that, when it comes to picking an act for a dinner or drinks reception, it can be easy to think that that’s all there is. Velvet Collection are a timely reminder that background music can be fun and frivolous too, with a repertoire packed with decades of pop hits to keep toes tapping all night long.
KUDOS FUNCTIONS (FUNCTION BAND)
When “toe tapping” isn’t enough however, you’ll need a genuine party band to get people rushing to the dance floor. Enter Kudos Functions: an exciting young outfit from Leeds who’ve made a name for themselves as one of the premier funk, soul and pop bands working in the UK today. With a versatile lineup and charisma to burn, they’re already proving a much sought-after option for weddings and corporate events.
TIFF (JUGGLER)
Tiff loves juggling, and he wants everyone to love juggling as much as he does. Luckily he’s really good at it, so he doesn’t need to go around showing people juggling videos on his phone. Instead, Matthew performs amazing, ingenious and endlessly inventive juggling shows, and even leads juggling workshops to teach party guests some of the tricks he’s spent years honing. What a guy.
