The National Venue Awards 2018 take place in Manchester this afternoon and we are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring the event!
Finalists will descend on the Emirates Old Trafford, ordinarily the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, to learn who has won in each of the 16 categories ranging from Best Academic Venue through to Best Unusual Venue and of course, Best Catering at a Venue (who doesn’t love a bite to eat once they arrive?)
As we specialise in entertainment, we thought we’d love to give the attendees at the National Venue Awards a night to remember (well, an afternoon to remember) by providing a few notable acts on our roster, which we thought it would be nice to run through ahead of the event.
Taking on the hosting duties today is top magician Ben Hanlin, who you might recognise from his TV show Tricked, a hilarious programme that airs on ITV2 wherein members of the public are fooled by Ben in real life situations. An amazing entertainer that has more charisma than many more famous magicians (mentioning no names!), we think he’ll be a huge hit at the National Venue Awards and from what we’ve heard on the grapevine, there might be a chance for guests in the room to get involved in one or two of his tricks. You’ll just have to be there to find out more!
As anybody who has ever seen the Oscars will attest, an awards ceremony can lose some of its lustre if it is merely a case of presenting award after award after award with no respite in between. National Venue Awards attendees have no need to worry! With this in mind, we thought we’d provide some incredible dance entertainment in the form of the comedic and seriously impressive Frobacks! A five-piece dance act that has taken the events scene by storm, you’ll find yourself laughing along to the beat as the performers pull out flips and smooth moves to a steady beat. If you love Diversity and Flawless then prepare to be impressed.
Our final piece of entertainment for the day is everybody’s favourite strolling acoustic trio, Wandering Hands. A three-piece comprising of two guitars, a sax and vocals, this is undoubtedly our most popular act. They’ve performed at numerous high profile venues and events over the years and always go down a storm with the crowd. Boasting a repertoire which individuals get to choose from throughout their performance, you’ll soon be singing along to all your favourite tunes. Expect to see them as you arrive at the National Venue Awards and don’t worry too much about missing them; the beauty of a strolling trio is that eventually they’ll come to you!
