The Greatest Showman @ DRP

Woooooooooah! Ladies and gents this is the moment you’ve waited for… Yes, it’s a blog and photos from our Greatest Showman event for DRP. Trust us, this really is the greatest show!

When DRP got in contact with us about putting on a party for their employees and to celebrate the birthday of their CEO, Dale Parmenter, we went straight into action. We researched a bit about Dale, DRP and the company. It was clear that they did things a little differently, putting fun front and centre of their work culture. Choosing a Greatest Showman event theme embodied this belief and working within budget we delivered an amazing experience for all.

Normally when we put on a large event, professionals are the only performers on stage. For this party it was Dale himself who was going to take on the Hugh Jackman role which meant a fair bit of timetable coordination for rehearsals. We were also aware of the fact the dance moves couldn’t be too complex; it was more about the fun than an authentic West End musical experience!

We hired a wonderful choreographer, Anthony Johns, eight dancers, two aerial hoop artists, a fire performer and an aerial silk artist to bring everything together. Adding Dale into the mix, we had thirteen performers to train up for this bespoke event, which would undoubtedly be The Greatest Show!

We loved the fact that DRP had provided their very own warehouse for the party and it was stunning to see how the venue changed for the performance. Whole areas were sectioned off to create a multitude of rooms and naturally, a stage and lights were erected to bring The Greatest Showman to life.

Fire performers greeted guests as they arrived before aerial hoop performers and a singer in a birdcage wowed the crowd during a drinks reception.

The guests then moved through into the main room for a sit down meal (stopping off in the specially built photo booth on the way.) There were then four performances which included all the dancers, aerialists, etc. and Dale as well as two jugglers and a full choir which we didn’t provide. This was a collaborative effort after all!

Fans of The Greatest Showman are no doubt wondering which songs made it into the performance and we can reveal that the choices were Come Alive, A Million Dreams, This Is Me and The Greatest Show. With each section performed between courses, it allowed for a truly entertaining dinner!

At the end of the meal and performances, a door opened to another area of the venue where a DJ and dancefloor await and the party could continue…

It was an absolutely incredible event and we were so happy to be a part of it. If you are looking to book circus, music or dance entertainment then please feel free to get in contact using the details below.
