We had such a wonderful time sponsoring the National Venue Awards last Friday. In fact, we had so much fun that we thought we’d share the photos with you as Ben Hanlin, Frobacks and Wandering Hands wowed the crowd with their spectacular entertainment. A lunch time event, Wandering Hands were the first act that lucky nominees were able to enjoy. A hugely popular strolling acoustic trio, Wandering Hands comprise of guitars, sax and vocals and play an extensive repertoire where you get to choose what they sing next! Sure to cause huge crowds at events across the UK – the band are our most booked act in London by sister agency Sternberg Clarke – it was clear that attendees at the National Venue Awards were absolutely loving their renditions of top pop songs.
And then to the event itself, which was opened by the hilarious and engaging dance group, Frobacks. The five young male dancers showed off their skills with choreography that left those in attendance suitably impressed. With video taken at the event by nominees in the audience, we weren’t surprised to overhear conversations about just how amazing they were! An excellent start to what would turn out to be a great event.
As our CEO Adam Sternberg put it, “Ben Hanlin was the best host [he’s] ever seen.” High praise indeed! One of TV’s top magicians took to the stage at the Emirates Old Trafford and proceeded to present the event with charisma, humour and poise, utterly charming everybody in the room. Not only did he take over presenting duties, but he also astonished everybody with some absolutely spellbinding magic tricks, one of which saw everybody in the room get involved. How did he do that? We have absolutely no idea but we definitely wanted to see more!
The afternoon event was a smashing success and if you were there we hope you had a lovely time. Congratulations to all the winner and commiserations to those who missed out on an award this time round. The Emirates Old Trafford was a smashing venue and we cannot wait to return!
