Rising to fame as the amiable and charismatic Assistant Head and English teacher of Thornhill Academy in Channel 4’s Educating Yorkshire, Matthew Burton has gone on to talk at a number of events and conferences about his techniques to motivate pupils who feel overwhelmed by the work they face in the classroom. A supportive role model on the show, Matthew Burton seeks to pass on his knowledge and advice to those who will benefit from encouragement in an engaging and inspiring presentation. Matthew really is a brilliant speaker who won the English Speaking Board’s Speaker of the Year in 2015.
