The Made in Manchester Awards 2020 celebrated the best of Manchester young business talent, up to the age of 35. Pro-Manchester are responsible for this brilliant initiative and we were only too happy to help, sponsoring and providing the entertainment at The Principal Hotel. What a night it proved to be!
Upon arrival at the event, guests were treated to welcome drinks and a performance from the truly superb Wandering Hands, a strolling trio that have been performing for years with our sister company Sternberg Clarke. Utilising the same concept of combining saxophone with acoustic guitars and vocals, the Manchester ensemble are superb, bringing the same charisma and joy that has become synonymous with the London trio.
Guests were able to enjoy a sumptuous dinner ahead of the awards and it’s fair to say that we absolutely loved the surroundings; a four-sided big screen was erected over guests so that everybody could see the goings on later in the evening and the upshot was that all could enjoy our entertainment from not one but two stages as well! We have been saying for years that the entertainment should be front and centre and the Made in Manchester Awards certainly agreed.
Not only did we have Wandering Hands available to deliver the hits – and they duly returned to impress from the stage later in the evening – but we were also delighted to be able to book String Infusion as well. This fabulous ensemble are available from a duo through to a quartet and we were extremely happy to be able to offer the latter lineup at the Made in Manchester Awards. Delivering a superb medley of recognisable tunes, their performance was rapturously received.
It was a lovely night at The Principal Hotel, Manchester and we hope that all enjoyed a fabulous evening of awards and entertainment. Our thanks must go to Pro-Manchester for inviting us along for the occasion and we cannot wait for next year!
