New Act Mondays: Medleys, Mavericks, Magic and More

Boy, the new weeks are coming thick and fast this month. But so too are the new performers, with another four amazing new acts added to our website today. This week we’ve got a serious case of magic madness, a multi-talented cabaret star and a couple of fantastic musical options. So let’s get over the disappointment that I couldn’t come up with an ‘m’ word for the last act and get ourselves acquainted.

TRULY MEDLEY DEEPLY

Much like anyone who’s spent a few hours trying to crowbar the word ‘quiz’ into a quiz team name (personal all-time favourite: Quiz Team Scott-Thomas), all the effort that Truly Medley Deeply put into their name has already paid off, earning them top billing on today’s blog. And that’s before you even get to their brilliant, seamless mashups of pop hits from throughout the decades.

JASON MAVERICK

As the old entertainment saying goes: “A mime is a terrible thing to waste.” So it stands to reason that a mime who’s also a skilled juggler, circus performer and all-round cabaret artiste would be an even terribler thing to waste. With that in mind, all we can tell you is that if you were to waste an opportunity to book the brilliant Jason Maverick for an upcoming event or party, it would be… well… pretty terrible of you.

ALAN (MAGIC MADNESS)

From a tragically young age, Alan was diagnosed with a severe case of magic madness, one for which the only cure is regular bookings for his comedy magic show at corporate events, weddings and private parties. Symptoms include ventriloquism, juggling and dangerously good prop-work. We’re doing our part for Alan. Will you do yours?

THE FOUR SHADOWS

Featuring performers from The Four Shadows Theatre Company, The Four Shadows Live Band is what you get when you hand a bunch of skilled theatre folk some musical instruments. The result is a stripped back acoustic band with a finely honed sense of stagecraft and theatricality. The band pride themselves on treating every wedding like a theatre production, which we’re hoping means they come round with tiny tubs of overpriced ice cream at the interval but we can’t confirm this.

That’s it for this week, but if you’re looking for more entertainment ideas; be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all the latest from Trevor George Entertainment.
