New Act Mondays: Ice Sculptures, Whip Cracks and Lederhosen

As another weekend disappears off into the distance, we’re greeted with the prospect of a whole new week, which – let’s get real here – is better than a weekend in January. Weekends in January are just people talking about how their ‘Dryathalon’ is going and pretending that this whole crossfit thing they’ve been doing is going to make it past Burns Night.

No, those people aren’t your friends anymore, they’re dead to you. You’ve got new friends now, we’ve found them for you – they’re into cool stuff like carving things out of ice, lassos and playing the tuba. Best of all, they’re all available to book for events, weddings and private parties. So let’s meet them.

ICE SCULPTORS

We love entertainment, but every once in a while, an act just leaves you cold. Because they’re ice sculptors. Like that? Buckle in, I’ve got a million. These guys turn any drinks reception into a frosty reception… but in a good way. Our brilliant team of ice sculptors can create cool ice structures that are the perfect talking point for guests while they chill out at your event. Frieze Art Fair? More like Freeze Art Fair. Show business? More like snow business. Children’s entertainment? More like Chilled-wren’s entertainment… That last one needs work.

RODEO EXTRAVAGANZA

Ever dreamed of having that bit from the Simpsons where Smithers sings Devo’s Whip It dressed as a cowboy with a liquorice whip at an event? Yes? Well that dream is now one step closer thanks to our Western Circus Rodeo Show. Admittedly, there’s no Smithers or Devo. And there’s no liquorice. But what there is, is some absolutely stunning rodeo skills and what we’ve been reliably informed is the world’s biggest whip. Sometimes you’ve got to take what you can get.

BAVARIAN STROLLERS

Once this Dry January thing’s all over, once people have stopped wringing their hands over how much they ate and drank at Christmas, once everyone gets back to treating their bodies abominably; it’s hard to imagine a better way to hit the sauce again than with the accompaniment of Bavarian Oompah music, surrounded by a load of people in lederhosen. Look, here are some now, and they even do pop covers with an Oompah twist. As they say in Bavaria; It’s always Oktoberfest somewhere. [*citation needed*]
