New Act Mondays: Old School, Older School and No More School

At Trevor George, we’re always looking for new ways to wow event guests; that’s why every week we introduce three brilliant new acts on our website, all of whom are available to book for corporate events, weddings and private functions.

This week, we’ve got old school RnB hits given the acoustic treatment, even older school Motown and soul in an authentic tribute show, and a former teacher who left the school behind to take on the world of comedy. Read on for more…

EASY FEET

Easy Feet have a unique take on the pop and RnB of the late ‘90s and ‘00s, delivering slick covers of hits in an unplugged ‘Live Lounge’ style that’s already earned them a devoted following. With lineups ranging from two to four musicians, the band could easily work as anything from gentle background music to something a little bit livelier. Definitely worth checking out for anyone feeling nostalgic for the days of flip-phones and DVDs.

QUEENS OF RHYTHM

Queens of Rhythm hark back to an even earlier era, offering a fantastically authentic take on the soul, Motown and disco hits of the ‘60s and ‘70s. With tightly choreographed dance routines and pitch-perfect vocal harmony arrangements, the trio create a brilliant tribute show worthy of the West End. If you’re looking for a upbeat, high energy stage show for an upcoming event, this might be the perfect choice.

ALLYSON JUNE SMITH

Since swapping the classroom for the comedy club, former teacher Allyson June Smith has gone on to tour her native Canada and star in her own hour-long comedy special. Having earned rave reviews back home, she’s now taking the UK by storm with her incisive wit and engaging stage presence. A great choice for a short cabaret set, or even as a host or compere, Allyson is a natural fit for corporate events of all shapes and sizes.

That’s it for this week, check back next Monday to see another three acts we’ve added to the site. In the meantime, be sure to follow us on Twitter for all the latest entertainment news, tips and ideas.
