New Act Mondays: Poise, Poetry, Pianists

Is it Monday again already? Afraid so, friend. Fortunately, as we say goodbye to another weekend, we also get to say hello to three amazing new acts on the Trevor George website. Small victories, eh…

This week we’ve got a little bit of everything; music, circus and even some spoken word. Best of all, they’re all available to book for your next event, wedding or private party. Forget small victories… that sounds like a big win to us.

CARL (PIANIST)
When the original iPod launched waaaaaaaaay back in 2001, Steve Jobs touted its ability to hold a (then staggering) 1,000 songs. Background pianist Carl, by comparison, has a repertoire of jazz, classical and pop music that spans over 1,300 songs and he’s adding to it all the time. Does that mean we’re calling him “The First Generation iPod of Event Pianists” you ask? Sure, yeah… why not.

SPOKEN WORD ARTIST
Not so much an act as a genre, spoken word is an entertainment idea that’s criminally underused at events. Our performers can deliver specially themed poetry or spoken word around a predetermined theme that’s relevant to your event. It’s not going to be perfect for every event, and needs an attentive, engaged audience, but a spoken word performance can be a breath of fresh air amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy event. Take a look at the profile here.

AERIALISTIQUE (AERIAL CIRCUS ACT)
One minute, you’re feeling pretty good about squeezing in that early gym session before work on a Monday morning. The next, someone emails you about aerial circus show Aerialistique, you’re confronted with gymnast / circus performer Andi Aerialistique’s rippling muscles and the slow realisation that those four or five pitiful pullups you struggle through each week aren’t really getting you anywhere, are they.

We’ll be back next Monday with more great new acts for your next event. In the meantime, be sure to follow us on Twitter for more great acts and entertainment news.

Happy Monday!
