Spinach for Norman is a Devon based Ceilidh/Barn Dance band consisting of four musicians: two violins, guitar and bass guitar (with optional caller and /or singer).
From the musicians’ diverse backgrounds – Irish, Dutch, Jewish, Romanian, Yorkshire – the band has developed a repertoire of dance music drawing on Celtic, English, Yiddish, European and American folk traditions, together with some more modern musical influences.
From a Medieval French braille to Romanian Gypsy/Jewish circle dance, or an American square dance to a Scottish reel plus traditional Dartmoor dances, UK and Irish ceilidh dances, Spinach for Norman will provide exciting traditional dance music- whether as background or for dancing – guaranteed to turn your event into a full on party!
