Michael Rushen, or Mick Dundee as he has become known, started his career in entertainment 10 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. He worked first for one of the UK’s biggest holiday companies, moving up until he reached his goal of presenter, he spent his time learning and inventing new games to make people laugh. Laughter proved a big part in his career and his desire to make people smile fuelled his ambitions.
After the parks Mick moved to Alton Towers working in front of thousands of people on the park and in their hotels. Eventually the sea called and Mick made the step to cruise ships, where he honed his skills and became Assistant Cruise Director.
Mick has worked with some big names over his career, Joe Pasquale, Bobby Davro and Canon & Ball to name a few. He has also performed in front of some big stars like Daniel O’Donnell and Ricky Hatton.
Mick has taken his act all over the world and to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Mick is also at home playing a role having performed as Buttons in Cinderella, as Ernie Wise, in a Morecombe & Wise Tribute and as part of a double act.
As well as this Mick has written material for himself and others, and also creates light ents formats for cruise companies.
Equally happy in front of big crowds as he is with close and personal environments, Mick has an intelligent comedy brain, impeccable timing as well as being quick witted and sharp. Mick is as comfortable as being the main event as he is hosting for others.
“Mick combines a classic comedy style with a likeable fresh approach. A natural entertainer and a great guy, Mick is bound to please audiences of all ages.”
