David Clifford is a very accomplished cabaret artist.
He performs a successful Cliff Richard Tribute Show as another string to his bow, which is taking growing amounts of his time. He has played everything from club cabaret to cruise work and most things in between.
David Clifford’s repertoire spans everything from musical theatre to pop to rock ‘n roll, which is assisted by his 3 octave vocal range. He can truly be thought of as an all rounder, as he is capable of producing sets to suit virtually any style. One of the most adaptable vocalists on the circuit, while remaining one of the best.
David has basically always been a performer; a drummer since the age of 5 and a singer probably even longer. He began his professional life with progressive rock band Red Jasper, writing, performing and touring six albums for Dutch label S.I. Music. They toured Europe at Arena level, supporting acts such as Fish, formerly of Marillion.
He then spent nearly two years in stage musicals including roles such as the Captain in Anything Goes, Macheath in the The Threepenny Opera, Freddy in My Fair Lady and 8 months with a very trim bikini line in The Rocky Horror Show.
In 2001 David was a Grand Finalist on TV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes‘. He performed as 80′s heartthrob Morten Harket from A-Ha. Gaining nearly 100,000 votes, David also received a personal video message from Morten – the first in the show’s history.
